Frequently Asked Questions
Dental safety glasses work in the same way that surgical masks and other protective clothing do. They protect the eyes from saliva or particles that may splash out of the mouth during treatment. This prevents eye injuries and contamination from germs in saliva.
Dental safety glasses are clear, because they are used indoors and do not need to protect the eyes from sunlight. Dental safety glasses still repel ultraviolet rays. The lenses are polycarbonate and made to be shatterproof.
